Five people have been arrested in a Wednesday (Mar 18) morning drug bust.
Cobourg Police say a search warrant was conducted at a house on Balls Lane in Cobourg, and police seized a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine with an estimated $1,000 street value and a prohibited weapon.
48-year-old Scott Wharram of Cobourg has been charged with one count each of possession of fentanyl and cocaine and possession of a prohibited weapon.
33-year-old Tiffany Doherty-BOwen of CObourg has been charged with one count each of possession of fentanyl and cocaine and failing to comply with probation.
46-year-old Tommy Palmisano of Cobourg has been charged with possession of cocaine and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
29-year-old Eric Brown of Oshawa has been charged with possession of cocaine and three counts of failing to comply with probation.
25-year-old Matthew Caissie of Oshawa has also been charged with possession of cocaine and failing to comply with a release order.
Cobourg Police say all five were deemed suitable for release, a decision that was made in consultation with the COVID-19 outbreak as court services have been postponed.
The accused were released on the condition to appear in Cobourg court in May.
Police add that during the search,a 36-year-old woman from Cobourg arrived at the residence, and she had a warrant for her arrest held by the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service.
She was transported to the City of Kawartha Lakes to answer to those charges.
