Hydro One has temporarily suspended late fees for all customers until early May. It is also returning approximately $5 million in security deposits to over 4,000 eligible business customers.
The electricity supplier says it is taking these steps to provide additional support to its customers during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Hydro One is a major power distributor in Northumberland and Quinte West regions. It’s already offering customers payment flexibility and financial assistance if they’re experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.
