The TD Summer Reading Club returns to Port Hope this Summer.
Port Hope Public Library is pleased to once again be a part of the TD Summer Reading Club (TD SRC), which is the biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages.
The TD SRC is an inclusive program, in English and in French, that strives to engage all children in the joy of reading, while also championing Canadian writers and illustrators. The program helps to connect families with books and to build confidence in reading.
Local children can register online (at tdsummerreadingclub.ca), beginning today (June 15), choosing Port Hope Public Library as their home library.
They will then be able to access free ebooks, read a web comic and share book recommendations, jokes, silly stories and more with children across the country.
Participants can also vote for their favourite summer read as two books go head-to-head each week as part of the new Battle of the Books feature.
And new this year, the Club will be offering 28 author/illustrator online readings and workshops.
Watch for library updates on the Port Hope Public Library website and on Face Book, Twitter and Instagram feeds.
