A new program has been launched by the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority in time for school to restart in a few weeks.
Nature Nuts School is a safe, supervised program that will give parents some peace of mind surrounding health and safety guidelines and schooling by following the Board of Education’s online learning requirements in small group environment.
There will also be at least one, but on most days two, OCT-certified teachers on site while students complete their mandated five hours of online instruction.
Aaron Staples, a GRCA Outdoor Education Teacher, says the goal is to have as little homework as possible so that when children leave at 4 p.m., it’s family time.
Nature Nuts School will run Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it’ll cost $250 per week, which additional fees for extended child care.
If you’re interested, you’re being asked to call the GRCA at 905-885-8173.
