Kimberley Black has shared her first YouTube video since being brutally attacked while on an evening walk in Whitby in July.
Kimberley and her husband Rob posted a video Saturday (Oct 24) thanking the thousands of people who supported a GoFundMe campaign allowing the couple not to stress while she continues to recover.
She says she’s forever grateful for all the donations that poured in as she faces a long recovery, involving ongoing therapies and counselling and future surgeries.
Kimberley says she and her husband go on daily walks, which she says is wonderful as she shared she had to regain the ability to walk independently after the assault.
She says she’s doing really well, and continues to be blown away by the love and support of people near and far.
In August, a fundraising event and silent vigil was held for Black in Cobourg’s Victoria Park.
Later that month, a 21-year-old Whitby man, Anthony Doiron-Frances, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated assault.
