The COVID-19 Outbreak at the Cobourg Police Station (CPS) is declared over.
On Saturday, February 6th, after three CPS staff members tested positive for COVID-19, a facility-wide outbreak was declared by the HKPR District Health Unit – a fourth CPS member also tested positive for COVID-19 in the coming days.
On Thursday (Feb 18), the Health Unit declared the outbreak at the station over with no further COVID-19 transmission identified among staff. The affected members have returned to their respective duties.
As a precaution, the station remains closed to the public until further notice.
Community members continue to be encouraged to take advantage of the online services available through the Cobourg Police Service website.
An accessible phone for contacting police is still in place at the top of the accessibility ramp on the station building’s east side.
