When you make a donation to the Brighton Legion Poppy campaign, chairperson Pam Little says you’re helping to fund programs and services that benefit veterans and their families.
Little told us poppy donation money supports many programs.
She said community participation is responsible for the success of the Royal Canadian Legion’s annual Poppy Campaign.
Little says each legion branch, including in Brighton has a service officer. Their role is to assist and represent armed forces members, veterans, RCMP officers and their families, at all stages of the disability claims process through Veterans Affairs Canada.
