Northumberland County showed their support for the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank during this weekend’s Cram-A-Cruiser event.
Every month the Cobourg Police Service holds a Cram-A-Cruiser event, but with the holiday season upon us the need for donation is even greater than usual.
Unfortunately, Fare Share Board of Directors member, Dennis Culver says community donations are critical right now.
He says the need for the local food bank continues to rise.
But thankfully, Culver says the response from the community has been incredible.
Culver praises the community for the way they’ve banded together to support the food bank.
At just this weekend’s Cram-A-Cruiser 1896 lbs of food and $2901.78 in cash was raised and collected.
