Until then, here’s a list of what’s opened and what’s closed in Northumberland:
MUNICIPAL SERVICES
All municipal offices and Service Ontario sites will be closed until Jan 2. However, Victoria Hall, Cobourg will be opened for The Beatle Band concert at 7:30 p.m.
Cobourg Transit/WHEELS Transit will run from 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. new years eve and will be closed Jan. 1.
Port Hope Transit won’t run until Jan. 2.
LCBO AND BEER STORES
All liquor and beer stores in the region will be closed.
PHARMACIES
Shoppers Drug Mart in Cobourg will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Shoppers Drug Mart in Port Hope will reportedly operate under regular hours, but call ahead to confirm.
Rexall at 1 Main st., Brighton will be open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
GROCERY STORES
All major grocery stores in Cobourg, Port Hope and Brighton will be closed on Jan. 1. Including David’s No Frills at 500 Division St, Cobourg, Food Basics in Port Hope, and Chris & Angela’s No Frills in Brighton. All grocery stores through Hastings and Campbellford will also be closed.
BOX STORES
All box stores, including: Walmart, Canadian Tire, Giant Tiger, and Best Buy will be closed Jan. 1.
