A Cramahe resident is facing mischief charges after an alleged incident at a hotel in Campbellford, say Northumberland OPP.
On Feb. 3, at about 12:20 a.m., officers responded to a report regarding a disturbance at a hotel property, and following arrival, located the subject of the complaint, said police.
As a result of an investigation, police said a 53-year-old Cramahe resident was charged with mischief – destroys or damages property.
Upon arrest, police said the accused was transported to an OPP detachment. During the time when the accused was in custody, the individual was additionally charged with two counts of mischief – destroys, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use or operation of property, reported police.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg later, said police.
Police provided no other details.
