Cobourg police say they are continuing an investigation in the Victoria Street and Furnace Street area after a man was found dead.
As a result, the Cobourg Police Service says residents can expect to continue to see an increased police presence in the area during their investigation.
Police say around 12:30 p.m. Monday they were called to the area after a report of a 55-year-old Cobourg man who was found without vital signs.
Police say they are currently working with the Coroner’s Office and OPP’s forensic identification services unit. Police add there is no risk to public safety at this time.
