The Municipality of Port Hope has appointed Kyle Beacock as its new Director of Environmental Services, effective October 7, 2024.
Beacock, who brings over 15 years of experience managing water and wastewater operations, will lead the Water, Wastewater, and Environmental Remediation divisions within the newly formed department.
Holding an Environmental Technician diploma and multiple certifications, Beacock’s expertise includes overseeing large-scale projects, such as water treatment expansions and sanitary system upgrades. In his new role, he aims to implement innovative solutions while maintaining strict adherence to budgets and timelines.
Candice White, Chief Administrative Officer of Port Hope, expressed confidence in Beacock’s leadership: “Mr. Beacock’s extensive background in municipal management and proven track record of successfully leading complex projects make him an exceptional fit for this position.”
Beacock echoed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, “I’m honoured and excited to be joining the Port Hope team, I look forward to immersing myself into a wonderful community, embracing the opportunities, and accepting any challenges with optimism, enthusiasm and hard work.”?
This new department is partially funded by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and includes a resident liaison position.
