Cobourg police say they are calling on the public for help with an ongoing investigation involving “repeated targeted mischief incidents” spanning more than a year at a home on College Street.
According to the Cobourg Police Service, between March 2023 and Nov. 9, 2024, the homeowners have experienced several incidents of mischief causing damage to the property – incidents have ranged from the house being egged to the front door being kicked.
Police said these incidents have typically taken place around midnight on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays. The most recent incidents happened on Nov. 9, at about 12:15 a.m.; Oct. 17, at about 11:15 p.m., and Sept. 28, sometime overnight.
Police said they are working to identify individuals involved and are calling on anyone with information to reach out to local police or Crime Stoppers, where tips can be submitted anonymously.
Anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area is being asked to call police at

Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward, added police.
On Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, police also released several images accompanying a release, with descriptions of alleged incidents.
In the Nov. 9 incident, police said a man is seen exiting a car, runs onto the porch of the residence, hits or kicks the door, and then drives away. The involved vehicle appears to be a four-door and light in colour, said police.
In the Oct. 17 incident, a dark-coloured, four-door car is seen in front of the residence and two individuals appear to exit the vehicle, throw eggs at the house and drive away.
No other details were provided by police.
