If you want some face time with your MPP, David Piccini is hosting his annual New Year’s Levee event this Sunday, Jan. 12 at the Cobourg legion.
The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 in Cobourg at 135B Orr St., and the Northumberland-Peterborough South MPP says all are welcome to join in as the community kicks off a new year.
Piccini tells us what the event is all about.
“I think it’s important to gather as a community to cheers to the new year (and) talk about our priorities as a community …” says Piccini, who’s hoping residents will take this opportunity to swing by for a few minutes and share what they feel should be at the forefront for 2025.
He tells us more about some of the issues he’s anticipating to remain top-of-mind in the new year.
He acknowledges there’s lots more to talk about and says additional municipal leaders, area mayors and Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Philip Lawrence have also been invited.
Attendees are asked to RSVP via email at David.picciniCO@pc.ola.org or by calling 905-372-4000.
“Everybody is welcome – we ask for RSVPs just out of respect for the legion and the numbers – but everybody is welcome,” adds Piccini.
He tells us a little more about what people can expect at the event.
