The Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Board of Directors is inviting expressions of interest from local residents to serve as Community Members. This volunteer role provides an opportunity to contribute to health care governance in west Northumberland County.
Community Members assist with the Board’s work by participating in committees such as Quality and Safety, Governance, and Facilities and Campus Development. The time commitment is approximately four hours every other month, with meetings held virtually or in person. Community Members can serve up to five one-year terms and may eventually be appointed as full Directors when vacancies arise.
“We are pleased to once again host our annual Virtual Board Volunteer Open House and highlight the many rewarding opportunities available with NHH’s board,” said Board Chair Cyndi Gilmer. “If you’re passionate about improving local health care, we’d love to hear from you.”
The Virtual Board Volunteer Open House will take place on Tuesday, March 18, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Participants can meet current volunteers and learn more about the role.
Details, including the Expression of Interest form and FAQs, are available at nhh.ca.
While the next intake of Community Members is planned for mid-June 2025, applications are welcome year-round.
