Two Cobourg residents have been arrested, and a third suspect is being sought, in connection with a break-and-enter at a local business.
Police responded to a report of the incident on Friday, January 17, 2025, at a business near Division and Kerr streets. According to investigators, three individuals attended the property around 3:30 a.m. While two acted as lookouts, the third gained access to the business and stole merchandise.
On Saturday afternoon, police arrested a 49-year-old Cobourg woman, followed by the arrest of a 34-year-old Cobourg man on Sunday. Both have been charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime. They were released on an undertaking with conditions and given a future court date.
Police have identified the third suspect and anticipate another arrest.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
