The Do More Agriculture Foundation has launched the 2025 Community Fund to support mental health education in rural communities across Canada.
Sponsored by Farm Credit Canada (FCC), the fund aims to create spaces for open conversations about mental health, fostering learning, hope and change.
Applications for the Community Fund are open until March 2 at 5 p.m. CST. The initiative is designed to equip rural communities with tools to improve mental health awareness and support.
“Mental health supports are a critical component in building strong and resilient rural communities,” said Justine Hendricks, FCC President and CEO. “This partnership underscores FCC’s commitment to the mental health of Canadian farm families.”
The fund will support a variety of workshops, including Talk Ask Listen and In the Know sessions, SafeTALK suicide support workshops, and Mental Health First Aid training. Specialized AgCulture courses will also be offered to help mental health professionals understand challenges unique to the agricultural sector.
The Do More Agriculture Foundation encourages community champions from agriculture associations, rural businesses, faith groups, and other local organizations to apply.
