Northumberland OPP are investigating two incidents reported over the weekend, including a dispute in Cramahe and an impaired driving case in Clarington.
On Feb. 15 at around 12:20 a.m., police were called to a residence on CN Cross Road in the Township of Cramahe. A 33-year-old man from Cramahe was arrested and charged with failing to leave the premises when directed. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the complainant.
The following day, on Feb. 16 at about 12:45 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Cold Springs Camp Road in Clarington. After speaking with the uninjured driver, police began an impaired driving investigation. The driver allegedly refused to provide a breath sample and was taken into custody.
A 39-year-old from Brantford has been charged with two counts of failure or refusal to comply with demand, operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and failure to comply with a release order.
The accused received a 90-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The individual is due to appear in court at a future date.
