The Port Hope Public Library’s Hub Branch will close temporarily for renovations from March 24 to May 5.
Library staff say the closure is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and staff during the construction work, which will take place on the building’s lower level. The reopening date may change depending on construction progress.
Despite the closure, residents can continue to return materials through the Hub’s book drop. Free Wi-Fi will also remain available in the upper parking lot throughout the closure.
For full library services, residents are encouraged to visit the Mary J. Benson Branch at 31 Queen Street in downtown Port Hope. The library’s online resources are also available 24/7 at porthopepubliclibrary.ca.
The library’s scheduled book sale on May 24 will proceed as planned. Those wishing to donate books for the sale are asked to contact the library at 905-885-4712 to arrange drop-off details.
For the most up-to-date information on the renovation and related services, residents are encouraged to visit the Port Hope Public Library’s website, sign up for their newsletter, or follow their social media pages.
