Several people have been taken into custody as police are executing warrants in Cobourg, Port Hope and Bowmanville, says the Cobourg Police Service.
In a brief release issued Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Cobourg police advised on an increased police presence at several addresses as Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants are being executed.
Police said members of CPS are currently on scene at three locations, including an Alexandria Drive address in Cobourg, a Shuter Street Port Hope address, and in Bowmanville (no specific area was identified by police.)
Police said they’re executing the search warrants with help from the Port Hope Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, and Belleville Police Service.
“It is expected that there will be a police presence for the next several hours,” reads the release.
“Several people have been taken into custody. An update will be provided when information is available,” added the service.
No other details were released by police.
