Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation is welcoming the summer season with the return of its popular Lemon-Aid fundraiser.
First launched in 2022, Lemon-Aid invites participants of all ages to host lemonade stands throughout the summer, with all proceeds supporting the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation. Since its inception, the campaign has raised more than $15,500 and continues to grow in popularity.
“The Lemon-Aid event continues to be a well-loved event by many,” said Rhonda Cunningham, CEO of the NHH Foundation. “Our hearts have been warmed to see those around our community excited about their upcoming stands and about giving back to our hospital.”
The initiative runs until the end of August and is once again sponsored by Davis’ Your Independent Grocer in Port Hope. Those who register to host a stand will receive a free kit to help them get started.
There’s no age limit to participate, and the Foundation hopes to see both returning and first-time hosts get involved. Stand locations will be shared throughout the summer on the Foundation’s website and social media, with a collective total announced at the end of the season.
