Two Cobourg residents are facing charges following a reported robbery on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Cobourg Police, officers responded to a call for service around Swayne Street and McGill Street on July 15. A female victim reported that she had been assaulted by one individual while another stole money from her. The suspects were known to the victim, who was able to provide their names to police.
Police say one suspect was located and arrested following a brief foot pursuit. The second individual was found later that evening and taken into custody without incident.
A 16-year-old Cobourg youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with robbery.
A 34-year-old Cobourg woman is also facing a charge of robbery, along with theft under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
