No charges have been laid after a person was hit by a train just outside of Cobourg over the weekend, according to OPP.
An OPP spokesperson said emergency crews responded to a report of an individual struck by a train just outside of Cobourg at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3.
The individual was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, said the spokesperson.
“No charges were laid, and the incident is not considered suspicious.”
No other details have been released by police.
