Community Care Northumberland is inviting residents to discover meaningful ways to give back at the Northumberland Volunteer Fair, set for Wednesday, September 24th at the Cobourg Lions Community Centre.
The event runs from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will feature a wide variety of nonprofits and community groups on-site to discuss volunteer opportunities. Organizers say the fair is designed to help people find ways to share their skills, support causes they care about, and meet new people while making a difference in their community.
Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland, says she is inspired by the dedication of volunteers and is looking forward to welcoming more people who want to get involved.
In addition to connecting with prospective volunteers, the event also serves as a networking opportunity for local organizations. Nonprofits and community groups interested in participating still have time to register as vendors. Tables are available for $35, which includes lunch, and the registration deadline is September 5th.
The Volunteer Fair is open to everyone and offers a chance for residents to learn how they can contribute their time and talents.
For more information or to register as a vendor, contact Kelly at volunteer@commcare.ca or call 1-866-514-5774.
