OPP says a Trent Hills resident has been arrested following a series of alleged dangerous motorcycle incidents that started in June.
According to Peterborough County OPP, on June 23, 2025, an officer on patrol in Havelock spotted a blue and white sport-style motorcycle with no licence plate leaving a local business. When emergency lights were activated, the motorcycle allegedly sped away at a high rate of speed.
Officers allege same rider was later seen on Aug. 8 on Highway 7 in Asphodel-Norwood Township and again on August 29 on County Road 40, this time on a red and silver sport-style motorcycle with no plate. Each time, police said the rider accelerated away from attempts to stop the vehicle.
Warrants were issued for the suspect and on Sept. 9, 2025, members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit attended a property in Trent Hills and made the arrest, reported OPP.
The accused faces multiple charges, including three counts of dangerous operation, two counts of flight from police, three counts of stunt driving, driving without a licence, and driving without plates.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
