A pedestrian was airlifted to hospital Friday in serious condition after allegedly being hit by a vehicle in Cobourg.
According to the Cobourg Police Service, on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at about 4:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to a collision in the Division Street area near Ballantine Street.
“A pedestrian was crossing the road when they were struck by a vehicle,” said police, in response to MBC inquiries.
The pedestrian was transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital in serious condition, reported the service.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and no charges have been laid at this time, said a CPS spokesperson.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage to reach out to police at 905-372-6821.
No other details have been released by police.
