The Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation has launched its 19th Annual Angels of Care campaign, raising funds for vital medical equipment and patient comfort improvements.
The campaign aims to raise $500,000 for high-priority items including ultrasound probes, vital signs monitors, electrocardiogram machines, and a laboratory osmometer. Renovations will update accessible tub and shower rooms and expand the Endoscopy Recovery Area.
John Russell, Executive Director of the CMH Foundation, explains why this annual campaign is so important.
Russell tells us that community donations are crucial, as the province doesn’t fund new equipment.
The campaign is supported by the Matchmakers, who will match donations up to $200,000. Gifts made before December 31 will be matched dollar for dollar.
Russell tells us more about the much needed renovations their planning.
According to Russell, Giving Tuesday will offer the chance to make your donation go even further.
On December 2, gifts dropped off at Scott Drummond Motors in Campbellford will be tripled, matched by both the Matchmakers and the dealership. The event will also feature free coffee, giveaways, and windshield wiper fluid top-ups.
Donations can be made until the end of December online at givetocmh.ca or angelsofcare.ca, or by contacting the Foundation office.
Russell tells us that community support is critical in helping CMH provide quality care for over 42,000 residents across three counties.
