A single-vehicle collision on Highway 401 eastbound near Port Hope caused delays late Tuesday morning after a passenger vehicle struck the concrete centre median between Theatre Road and Burnham Street.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m., blocking the passing lane and prompting a response from Northumberland OPP and local emergency services.
Paramedics at the scene reported the driver suffered minor injuries. The vehicle was removed and the lane reopened just before noon, restoring normal traffic flow through the area.
Police say the investigation into the cause of the crash remains active, but that no charges have been laid at this time. OPP are reviewing contributing factors, including road conditions and driver actions.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is encouraged to contact Northumberland OPP.
