Cobourg residents will soon see a bit of Hollywood magic in their community. The Town of Cobourg has announced that filming will take place in downtown Cobourg on Monday, January 12, 2026. Victoria Hall (55 King Street West, exterior only) and The EL (74 King Street West) have been confirmed as primary locations.
Preparations for the shoot will begin Saturday, January 10, and Sunday, January 11, with tear-down scheduled for Tuesday, January 13. The production company will use several municipal parking lots including Trinity, Albert Street, and the Cobourg Marina, along with designated on-street spaces along King Street West and Second Street. Town officials say all traffic lanes will remain open, and no full road closures are planned.
Residents may also notice temporary U.S. flags replacing Canadian flags along King Street, with a U.S. flag installed in front of Victoria Hall on the day of filming. While the Town is keeping details under wraps, fans will note from the locations and use of US flags that a popular Netflix series is returning to Cobourg, and the dedicated could spot a well-known mother-daughter duo around town during the shoot.
Community members with questions are encouraged to contact Jackie Chapman Davis, Town of Cobourg Manager of Culture, Events & Tourism, at 905-372-4301 ext. 4363.
Filming in Cobourg promises a rare chance for locals to glimpse behind-the-scenes action and perhaps catch a glimpse of their favorite screen stars, adding a splash of excitement to the heart of the community.
