The Town of Cobourg is reminding residents and visitors that downtown streets will be closed overnight Thursday, January 8, 2026, to allow crews to safely conduct snow removal operations.
According to the Public Works Division, work will begin at midnight and continue until approximately 7 a.m. Streets affected include:
King Street from Ball Street to College Street
Spring Street from Orange Street to King Street West
Hibernia Street from King Street West to Albert Street
George Street from Orange Street to King Street West
Albert Street from Hibernia Street to Division Street
Queen Street from Division Street to McGill Street
Division Street from Covert Street to The Esplanade
McGill Street from King Street East to Queen Street
Road closure signage will be in place, and emergency vehicles will be permitted through the affected areas. The Town asks residents to park off-street overnight to ensure crews can complete snow clearing efficiently and safely.
