An investigation into the death of a 35-year-old woman in Port Hope is continuing, but no foul play is suspected at this time, says Northumberland OPP.
Back on Feb. 19, 2026, at about 5 a.m., officers were called to a County Road 65 and 7th Line residence, where the woman was found dead, police previously reported.
“At this time, police believe that foul play is not suspected; however, the investigation is being continued by the Northumberland crime unit, with assistance from forensic identification services, (and) in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner,” said Northumberland OPP, in an update.
Police remained on scene in the area from last Thursday until after 3 p.m. Saturday, when investigators finally cleared from the address.
“No further information can be released at this time, and updates will be provided as they become available,” said police.
However, police are asking anyone with information relating to this investigation to reach out to OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers – which is anonymous option – by calling 1-800-222-8477.
No other information has been released by police.
