The Cobourg Police Service Board has announced that recruitment for the town’s next Chief of Police is officially underway.
At its regular meeting on February 24, 2026, the board provided an update on the process, confirming that the job posting is now live and has been widely distributed through appropriate recruitment channels. Applications will remain open until the end of March.
The board has retained Waterhouse Executive Search, an executive recruitment consulting firm, to assist in identifying qualified candidates.
Board members say they remain committed to a thorough and transparent recruitment process aimed at selecting a highly qualified individual to lead the Cobourg Police Service.
The position comes at a key time for the service, as the board looks to ensure strong leadership and continuity in policing for the community.
