A first-time fundraiser has already made a significant impression on Community Care Northumberland’s new CEO Jordan Prosper.
The organization’s inaugural Casino Royale event at the Capitol Theatre in Port Hope raised nearly $40,000 in support of programs serving seniors and vulnerable residents across the county.
Prosper says the event exceeded expectations in both execution and turnout.
Prosper says what impressed him most was the collaborative spirit surrounding the event.
According to previous reporting, the sold-out evening featured gaming tables and strong sponsor backing, has established Casino Royale as a potential annual signature fundraiser.
Prosper notes that the funds raised will help sustain and expand CCN’s core services.
Community Care Northumberland operates 5 core services including Transportation, Nutrition (Meals on Wheels), In-Home Support, Wellness, and Hospice Services located at Ed’s House. Community Care’s mission is rooted in service, support and connection designed to help residents maintain independence.
