Loyalist College is expanding its summer Creative Experience programming for a third consecutive year, with new and returning courses planned in Port Hope and Belleville.
The summer lineup features hands-on workshops for adults interested in exploring painting, drawing, pottery, culinary arts, photography and fibre arts. Sessions are led by practicing artists and industry professionals and are designed to accommodate both beginners and more experienced participants.
New this year, the college is introducing kids creative camps that provide structured, age-appropriate programming for young artists. The camps will focus on visual arts through guided, hands-on activities intended to build foundational skills, confidence and curiosity.
College officials say the expanded programming reflects a commitment to accessible, community-based learning opportunities throughout the Bay of Quinte region, with Port Hope and Belleville serving as key program locations.
Sandra Dupret, Senior Vice-President, Students at Loyalist College, says creative learning offers opportunities for people to slow down, explore new interests and connect with their communities. She notes the programs are designed to support both adults returning to creative practice and children discovering artistic expression for the first time.
The summer offerings are part of Loyalist College’s broader year-round arts programming across the region.
Registration is now open for both adult workshops and children’s creative camps.
