A Cobourg man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill another person during a confrontation, say police.
According to the Cobourg Police Service, a 35-year-old Cobourg man was charged after officers were called to a disturbance Saturday evening (March 7, 2026.)
Police said they received multiple 911 calls reporting a disturbance involving several individuals outside an apartment complex in Spencer Street East and Division Street area.
Officers spoke with several witnesses at the scene who reported a verbal altercation between two men, said police, adding the investigation determined that one man allegedly made threats to kill another during the confrontation.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 35-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death and two counts of failure to comply with probation.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody, reported police.
