Port Hope Police say a 23 year old woman wanted by multiple police services has been arrested after a resident contacted officers over the weekend.
Police say the call came in on Sunday, March 14, when a resident reported that her daughter had come to her home and was believed to be wanted by police.
Officers attended the residence and located the woman inside.
Police confirmed the woman was wanted by Toronto Police Service and Cobourg Police Service, and had also previously been reported missing to Durham Regional Police Service.
At approximately 5:39 p.m., a Port Hope Police officer placed the woman under arrest. Police say she was informed of her right to counsel and provided with the police caution.
Following the arrest, officers from Cobourg Police Service attended the residence and assumed custody of the woman.
Police also notified Durham Regional Police Service that the individual had been safely located.
No additional details about the outstanding matters were released.
Port Hope Police say the arrest followed information provided by a concerned resident, allowing officers to locate the individual safely and coordinate with the other police services involved.
