The Town of Cobourg is advising residents and visitors that construction begins today at the Beyond the Blue Box site at 12 Covert Street.
Officials say construction-related activities will continue from April 23rd through May 15th.
While work is underway, Covert Street will remain open to vehicular traffic, with flagger personnel on site to help manage traffic flow and maintain safe access through the area.
The town says the north sidewalk on Covert Street will be closed during working hours, Monday through Friday. The sidewalk will reopen at the end of each workday.
Pedestrians are being asked to use caution and plan for temporary changes while crews are on site.
Officials note that the Covert Street parking lot will not be impacted during the construction period and will remain available for public use.
The work is taking place at the Beyond the Blue Box property, part of ongoing activity at the site.
The municipality says the temporary traffic and sidewalk adjustments are necessary to allow construction to proceed safely and efficiently while minimizing disruption to nearby residents, businesses, and visitors.
