Manufacturers from across eastern Ontario will gather in Cobourg next month as industry leaders continue looking for ways to strengthen local supply chains and support Canadian businesses.
The Northumberland Manufacturers’ Association, together with the Kawartha, Peterborough and Quinte Manufacturers’ Associations, has announced the return of its Industry Tradeshow on June 19th at the Cobourg Community Centre.
Now entering its second year, the event is expected to attract professionals from across the manufacturing sector and will feature more than 40 exhibitors showcasing innovations and emerging technologies shaping the future of industry.
Organizers say interest in local manufacturing partnerships continues to grow as businesses navigate economic uncertainty and ongoing international trade concerns.
“There is still strong demand and significant momentum for shopping more locally and supporting Canadian businesses,” said NMA Executive Director Darla Price.
Price said manufacturers are increasingly seeking local suppliers and partnerships to improve resilience and stability amid continued uncertainty surrounding CUSMA negotiations and broader economic pressures.
NMA President Arnaud Raymond said the inaugural event generated strong business activity and helped companies build valuable industry relationships.
“Now more than ever, industry is looking to bring their supply chain closer to home so that together we build for the prosperity of our communities,” Raymond said.
The tradeshow will include networking opportunities, live demonstrations and discussions focused on artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, engineering, investment and workforce development.
Organizers say the event is geared toward manufacturing professionals, maintenance and engineering teams, HR specialists, procurement staff, investors, technical experts and business leaders looking to expand their networks and explore new opportunities.
