Residents of Northumberland will have a chance to experience cultures from around the world as part of the fifth annual Canadian Multiculturalism Festival.
Organized by the New Canadians’ Centre, the festival features events across Peterborough and neighbouring communities through June 26, including Around the World in Northumberland in Port Hope on June 25.
The festival celebrates the diverse cultural communities that call the region home, offering opportunities for residents to learn about different traditions, foods, music and experiences.
According to organizers, the festival is designed to bring people together while showcasing the contributions of newcomers and multicultural communities throughout the area.
The New Canadians’ Centre says the multi-day event relies on the support of community partners, volunteers and local organizations to bring programming to communities across the region.
A full schedule of events is available through the New Canadians’ Centre website.
