The Town of Cobourg has launched a new online initiative designed to make it easier for residents to find reliable information about municipal services, projects and community events.
Called “Keepin’ Up in Cobourg,” the new feature is available through the Engage Cobourg website and serves as a living collection of frequently asked questions that will continue to grow based on feedback from the community.
Town officials say the initiative was developed by the Communications Department in partnership with Customer Service and other municipal departments to provide clear, accurate and timely information on topics residents ask about most often.
Rather than searching through multiple webpages or contacting Town Hall, residents can submit questions directly through an online form. Responses will be posted to the webpage and archived for future reference, creating a growing resource covering everything from municipal services and infrastructure projects to community events and other local issues.
The Town also plans to feature a new question and answer each week on its Facebook and Instagram channels, helping keep residents informed about topics generating the most interest.
Officials say the initiative reflects the Town’s commitment to proactive communication by sharing information before questions become widespread and creating another opportunity for residents to engage with local government.
Residents are also encouraged to create an Engage Cobourg account to participate in public consultation projects and receive newsletter updates. Existing users who have not logged in during the past year may be asked to reset their password before accessing the platform.
The Town says community members can begin submitting questions immediately through the new Keepin’ Up in Cobourg page on the Engage Cobourg website.
