A 57-year-old Cobourg man is facing several charges after police say he breached court-ordered conditions.
Cobourg police on general patrol spotted a man on King Street East at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, allegedly violating a court-ordered curfew. Officers arrested him and say a search turned up about 2.47 grams of suspected fentanyl and more than $2,900 in cash.
Richard Watts faces charges of failing to comply with a release order and probation order, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing.
