Saturday September 26th people looking to volunteer in the Northumberland community can head to the Cobourg Community Centre where the Community Care Northumberland Volunteer Fair is taking place.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. over 20 organizations will be there giving out information and looking for people who want to volunteer. Kelly Robinson with Community Care Northumberland says it’s a great list.
Robinson says the importance of volunteers cannot be measured.
Nancy Bruce also with Community Care Northumberland says volunteers are very important.
Another thing Bruce points out is the misconception that volunteering somewhere has a strict schedule. She says volunteering can be really flexible based on your schedule and the time you have to give to help.
Robinson adds there is no experience necessary to volunteer.
The Community Care Northumberland Volunteer Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobourg Community Centre on Saturday September 26.
