Eleven-year-old Cobourg resident Wyatt Robertson is putting his interest in technology to work this summer, launching a 3D-printing business with help from a micro-grant through the My Future My Career Kids Entrepreneurship Program.
The Five Counties Children’s Centre client, who has received services since age three, wrote his own business proposal and was the first to apply for the grant. His business, Prints Charming, sells 3D-printed fidget items and articulated animals, including dragons and octopuses.
Wyatt’s mother, Jen, says her son had been talking about the program for some time before surprising her by submitting his application himself. The youngster says he became interested in starting a business because it was simply “something I kind of wanted to do.”
