The Municipality of Port Hope is asking residents to help shape the community’s approach to public art as it reviews its public art policy.
The municipality says public art can highlight local culture and history, enhance public spaces and foster community pride. The updated policy is expected to provide guidance on how artwork is selected, displayed, managed and maintained in municipal spaces.
Residents can provide feedback on the role of public art, the types of works they would like to see and how pieces should be selected and cared for.
The online survey is open until Oct. 16 at engage.porthope.ca/public-art.
