Residents gathered at YMCA Northumberland Tuesday night for a mayoral fireside chat featuring candidates running to become Cobourg’s next mayor.
Moderated by York Bell-Smith, the forum focused on topics ranging from housing and infrastructure to economic development, transparency, and community partnerships.
All candidates were provided the questions in advance and were given equal time to respond. Due to a special council meeting earlier in the day,
Stephanie Campbell initially represented Nicole Beatty, presenting prepared responses until Beatty arrived. Lucas Cleveland did not attend. The evening wrapped up with questions from the audience.
