Small Business week is being celebrated across Ontario and recognizes the support to communities and the economies small businesses provide.
As part of that the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland is launching the Starter company plus program.
Business development coordinator Kailyn Coupland says it is a great opportunity for local small businesses.
Applications for that can be found on the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland website and open Tuesday October 20th. You have until November 16th to apply.
There are also events during this week including two virtual workshops Tuesday October 20th: one on the succession of your business and another on record keeping, which Coupland says isn’t the most glamorous part of business ownership, but absolutely necessary.
Also one of their Peer to Peer session at the centre, this one Thursday October 22nd called: your business is making money… so where is the cash.
Coupland says there entrepreneurs can network and also take in a talk from Shaelene McInnis of Books In Line Professional Services Inc.
Coupland this week is a good time to find out what the BECN does in the community.
You must register for the free event on the Business & Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland: BECN.ca.
