The Canadian Federation of University Women Northumberland is inviting shoppers to explore a selection of handmade goods and unique gifts during its upcoming Creativity Sale in Cobourg.
The event takes place Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cobourg Public Library, featuring a variety of handcrafted items, including quilted table covers, pillow covers, aprons, jewelry, travel bags and purses.
A special Platinum Elephant Table will also feature an assortment of unusual finds, including a fur hat, new hiking boots, handmade cutting boards and trivets, along with a decorative item from Bulgaria.
Visitors can also enjoy lattes, cappuccinos and baked goods while meeting two local authors who will be showcasing their latest books.
Organizers say proceeds will support the organization’s educational awards program, which provides financial assistance to local young women pursuing post-secondary studies and apprenticeship training.
The Cobourg Public Library is located at 200 Ontario St. The public is welcome to attend throughout the day.
