Port Hope’s newly elected council will officially begin its 2026-2030 term during an inaugural meeting scheduled for Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen St., where the mayor and councillors will make their Declarations of Office. No regular council business will be discussed.
The public and media are welcome to attend, although seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Proceedings will also be streamed live on the municipality’s YouTube channel. A viewing party will be held at the Port Hope Community Hub, 5325 County Road 10, for Ward 2 residents. Doors there also open at 6 p.m.
