Downtown Cobourg has made the jump with Digital Main Street.
The Cobourg Downtown BIA (DBIA) announced last week (Oct 28-Nov 1) that it received a $10,000 grant from Digital Main Street to establish a Digital Service Squad to help small businesses in the downtown area enhance their use of digital tools and techniques to better promote their business.
The program is funded by the government of Ontario and delivered by the Ontario Business Improvement Area (BIA) Association to help small businesses advance their use of digital tools and techniques to improve online marketing and promotions.
This grant allows our DBIA to hire a Digital Squad Member, who is a trained online specialist, to visit and assist businesses at no cost to help them assess their digital requirements and apply for a $2,500 Digital Transformation Grant.
Today’s digital economy is vital to small businesses, and Digital Main Street will help them adopt new digital technologies from e-commerce and social media to back-office systems such as payroll and inventory.
Businesses in Downtown Cobourg who would like to apply for a $2,500 Digital Transformation Grant can email dbia@downtowncobourg.ca for more information.
Across the province, 2000 of these $2,500 grants are available.
