Secondary schools within the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board are closed today.
That’s because there’s another one-day strike being put on by teachers represented by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation in a dozen districts across the province.

OSSTF members have been without a contract since August, and talks were just called off Monday (Dec 16) night by the negotiator.
The province says the hold up has more to do with teacher compensation than it does with learning conditions for students.
